English: Dr Irene Aurelia Tarimo is a Mother, Teacher, Researcher and University lecturer, born Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. She studied at Weruweru Girls Secondary School in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Kilakala Girls High School in Morogoro, Dar es Salaam Teachers College, now Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) on Biology, Chemistry and Education studies. She joined universities of Open University of Tanzania (OUT) and University of Dar es salaam (UDSM) obtaining Bachelor's Degree, Masters and Doctor of Philosophy (PHD). She has taught Weruweru Secondary School, Kifungilo Secondary School, Morogoro Secondary School and Mwika High School. She has been a tutor, assistant lecturer and lecturer both at University of Dar es salaam and Open University of Tanzania, also holding different administrative positions from time to time. Currently is the head of department in enviromental science at Open University of Tanzania.
